Past Projects
- Queanbeyan Library Photo Album Inventory- I began to organize, inventory and label the photo albums that are in the library's collection. By the end of my contract of 105 hours, I completed 22 albums and 2,935 photos in my inventory. I also created forms for Rights of Reproduction, cataloguing, and donations and loans for the use of the library.
- World War II Rationing in the American Household- I completed a case exhibit at the Nevada State Museum about the contributions that Las Vegans made during World War II, focusing on rationing in the American household. The exhibit was on display from March 2014 to June 2015.
- Backroom inventory- A project that I worked on at the Nevada State Museum was to inventory miscellaneous artifacts that needed to be identified, moved to permanent storage, and the locations changed in PastPerfect.
- Hess Family collection- Consisted of photos, negatives, and post cards dating from 1909-1915. Harry and Edna Hess' daughter donated the photos and negatives to the museum and loaned the postcards. I inventoried, scanned, and uploaded all of the photos and postcards to PastPerfect to be used for research.
- Belknap "Big Dig" Collection- I scanned over 2300 slides from a archaeological dig in Tulle Springs in the 1960s. These slides were loaned by the Nevada State Museum in Carson City. Many of the slides were later used for an exhibit marking the 50th anniversary of the dig.
- Miscellaneous Casino Files- This is a project that a number of volunteers worked on. The individual casino files need to be organized and the newspapers must be copied. I completed over 20 files.
- Main Street Station Collection- A private donor gave the museum his collection of all things related to the Main Street Station. I accessioned, catalogued, inventoried, labeled, preserved, photographed, stored, and input the artifacts into PastPerfect.
